In 2019, Rajesh took a shocking decision to leave acting. He hired 20 acres of land in Palghar. His early wishes and happiness turned into regret when 15,000 saplings of him were ruined due to bad weather, causing him to face heavy financial crisis. He said, ‘There was never a flood in that area before. However, there was heavy rains that year, which destroyed all the plants. The beginning has been very difficult.

The challenges of the actor’s life did not end here. In an interview given to Rajshree Anplgged, Rajesh Kumar said that it became difficult to cultivate due to Covid-19 lockdown. In such a situation, all his savings were spent at that time and they had no way to earn. He had become bankrupt and could not even buy chocolate for his children due to a bank balance of Rs 2500. He also started vegetable cultivation and opened a small shop outside his son’s school. However, the financial crisis did not end, due to which he started having many problems. He said, “Finally I quit farming and returned to the acting world.” His family supported him at the time of financial constraints. Rajesh Kumar again created panic with ‘Saira’. He played Anit Padda’s father in the film.
