How did Madhavi Lata reach Indian Institute of Science?

Professor Madhavi Lata has contributed a lot in the construction of Chenab Bridge in the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) in Bengaluru. Madhavi Lata not only designed this bridge but also played a big role in its construction.

Madhavi Lata earned a BTech degree in Civil Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1992. After this, he won a gold medal in MTech from NIT in Warangal. Madhavi did not stop here, she completed her PhD in the year 2000. He also taught in IIT Guwahati before joining the Indian Institute of Science in 2004. Philhava Madhavi Lata is a senior professor at the Indian Institute of Science. Madhavi Lata also got the title of Best Woman Geotechnical Researcher in 2021 and Top Women in Steam in 2022.

Madhavi Lata has received these awards

Madhavi Lata is quite interested in durable soil reinforcement, earthquake ground technology and rock engineering research. On behalf of the Indian Ground Technical Society, he has received the award for the best female researcher in Geote Technical Engineering. He has also received IISC Professor SK Chatterjee Excellent Researcher Award, Women Achievers Award and SERB Power Fellowship by Karnataka Book of Records. She is among the top 75 women of Steam of India.
