After all, who made human faces on Mars? Scientists stunned after seeing mysterious pictures of NASA's rover

Science News Desk – Another unique picture has come from Mars. The rover of the American space agency NASA has discovered a rock there which looks like a human face when viewed from an angle. Some people are seeing a chopped, rotting head of a human being in this picture, which is deteriorating in the harsh sunlight. This photo was taken by NASA’s Perseverance Rover on September 27. It looks like a piece of sedimentary sandstone, no different from other nearby rocks.

Rock like human head on Mars
What makes this rock unusual is its shape: the way it is damaged, and its inclination towards the camera, make it resemble a head lying on its side, and show resemblance to eyebrows, a nose, mouth and chin. The recognition of meaningful shapes and images in random objects is called pareidolia. This is surprisingly common in photographs of Mars.

What is pareidolia?
Pareidolia occurs when your eyes see something and parts of your brain process it but the rest of the gray matter draws conclusions before you can process it. This is why people see familiar faces or shapes in mountains, plants, and even water. There are many places on Google Earth that look like human faces.
