After being covered in Sri Lanka, now England Fatah ready Indian women’s team, team announced for England tour
After a spectacular performance in Sri Lanka, the Indian women’s team is now eyeing the victory in England. BCCI has announced both ODI and T20 teams for the tour of England, which will be in the hands of Harmanpreet Kaur, captaincy and Smriti Mandhana will be the vice -captain. In this tour, India will play five T20 and three ODIs, which will start from June 28. Some major players are out due to injury, but many young faces have been retained in the team.
The Indian women’s team is now ready for the tour of England after a brilliant performance in the recently concluded ODI Tri-series in Sri Lanka. The BCCI has announced both T20 and ODI squad for this white ball tour, which includes most of the faces that did wonders in Sri Lanka.
Harmanpreet Kaur has once again been given the command of the team in both formats, while star opener Smriti Mandhana will be vice-captains. The England tour will begin on June 28, in which India will play five T20s and three ODIs.
Shafali Verma has returned to the T20 team and she will open with Mandhana. At the same time, the responsibility of wicketkeeping will be on Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia. Sneh Rana, who performed brilliantly on the Sri Lanka tour, has got a place in both the squads.
In the ODI squad, Pritka Rawal has once again got a chance, while Kaveri Gautam has been dropped. Shreyaka Patil and Renuka Singh are currently out of the team due to injury, but it is expected that she will fit till the World Cup.
The first T20 match of the England tour will be held on June 28 in Nottingham, while the ODI series will start from Southampton on 16 July. The last match of the tour will be played on 22 July in Chester-Le-Steet.
