After debut, Amisha Patel gave back to back superhit films, but coin did not run in Bollywood

Born on 9 June 1975 in Mumbai, Amisha Patel started her cine career with Rakesh Roshan-directed blockbuster film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ released in 2000. It was also the first film of Hrithik Roshan as an actor. Amisha also did some time theater before stepping into films.

Amisha started her acting career with Satyadev Dubey’s Theater Group. She acted in plays, in which she was also involved in a Urdu language drama called Neelam (1999), which was written by Tanveer Khan. After this, Amisha turned to modeling. Amisha Patel then worked with Sunny Deol in ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ in 2001. Amisha was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her strong performance in the film.

In the film ‘Hamaraj’ released in 2002, the new look of Amisha Patel’s performance was seen by the audience. She was once again nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for this film. After this, Amisha worked in many unsuccessful films like Yeh Hai Jalwa, Parwana, Elan, Jamir, Vaada.

In the year 2005, Amish Patel got an opportunity to work with Aamir Khan in ‘Mangal Pandey’, although the film could not show anything special at the ticket window. The film Honeymoon Travels Pvt, released in the year 2007. Limited proved to be another hit film of Amisha Patel’s career. After this, Amisha also acted in superhit films like Bhuli Bhulaiya and Race-2.

Amisha Patel has worked in Tamil and Telugu films in addition to Hindi in her cine career. In the year 2023, Amisha Patel made a successful comeback with ‘Gadar 2’, which was the sequel to her earlier hit ‘Gadar: Ek Prem’.
