Earlier, an official of the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) confirmed that Shankar would join Vihari as one of his professional players for the 2025-26 season. Tripura will play all three domestic tournaments, Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Elite Division, which is expected to captain Vihari’s team.
