New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dnyanesh Kumar on Sunday openly responded to all the allegations including vote theft and questions about SIR. Meanwhile, Gyanesh Kumar said, “After SIR, the list of names removed from Bihar’s draft voter list has been put on the websites of the District Magistrates after the order of SC.”

What did the Supreme Court say?

In fact, the Supreme Court had last week asked the Election Commission to publish the information of 65 lakh names removed from the voter list and explained why they were not included. In order to bring transparency, the Supreme Court said this while hearing several petitions challenging SIR.

The direction of the apex court followed within 56 hours: Dnyanesh Kumar

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Dnyanesh Kumar also said, “Within 56 hours of the Supreme Court directive, voters whose names were not included in the draft voter list were put on the website of the districts.”

During this, Gyanesh Kumar also said, “It is a myth that SIR is done in a hurry. It is the legal duty of the Election Commission to correct the voter list before every election. The Election Commission cannot discriminate between political parties and both the ruling and opposition parties are the same for the election authority.”

Gyanesh Kumar also said, “The Congress leader should give an affidavit on his allegations of irregularities in the voter list within seven days, otherwise his vote theft claims will be considered baseless and invalid.”

Explain that the opposition has been besieging the Election Commission on the issue of vote theft and SIR for a long time, due to which the Election Commission answered all kinds of questions during the press conference on Sunday. (input language)
