Kyiv: Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky has said that he will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington on Monday. Earlier, Trump had a summit meeting in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, but the meeting remained inconclusive and could not agree between the two leaders on many issues.
Ukraine’s President Jailonsky expressed his gratitude to the trap
A few hours after meeting Russia’s President Putin, Trump said that the best way to end the war is not a ceasefire, but a holistic peace agreement. Trump and Ukraine’s European partners were calling for a ceasefire before any talks. Jailonsky said that on Saturday, he had a ‘long and meaningful’ conversation with Trump after a meeting between Putin and Trump in Alaska. He thanked Trump for inviting personally to meet personally in Washington and said he would “discuss the end of murder and war.”
Trump and Jailonsky will meet in the White House
US President Donald Trump has also confirmed that Ukraine’s President Jailonski will meet him at the White House on Monday. He said, “If everything goes well, we will decide a meeting with President Putin.” Trump warned before the summit that Russia would have to bear ‘very serious consequences’ if Putin did not agree to end the war.
Jailonsky cleaned his stand
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s President Jailonsky reiterated the importance of including European leaders, who were not present at the summit. He said, “It is important to include European countries at all levels to ensure reliable security guarantee with the US.” (AP)
