After the suicide of Air Force Flight Lieutenant Deendayal (32) in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, his army captain wife Renu Tanwar (28) also committed suicide. The husband’s body was found hanging at the government residence in the Air Force campus, while the wife hanged herself in the Army guest house in Delhi. Both of them had a love marriage two years ago and were posted in Agra.
A suicide note was found in the wife’s room. According to Delhi Police, it is written in it – perform the last rites with him, keep my hand in his hand. But, this did not happen. Lieutenant Deendayal was cremated in Agra, while Captain Renu Tanwar was cremated in Rajasthan.
Police say that the wife committed suicide after hearing the news of her husband’s death. Renu was posted in the Army hospital in Agra. She had gone to Delhi on October 14 for her mother’s treatment. The wife’s body was sent to Rajasthan after postmortem.
On Thursday, Air Force officers reached the Agra cremation ground with the body of Lieutenant Deendayal. The cremation ground worker said – We were asked by the authorities to decorate a pyre.
