Agri-Nutri Biotech Program to promote innovation in agriculture
Jammu. CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu recently launched its “One Week, One Theme” (OWOT) program under the theme Agri-Nutri Biotech (ANB). The two-day event aims to promote collaboration between scientists, entrepreneurs and farmers to advance the development of aromatic and floriculture crops across India. The event included a startup exhibition, practical demonstrations and technical sessions all designed to highlight sustainable agriculture innovations.
Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, CSIR-CIMAP and Dr. Sudesh Kumar Yadav, Director, CSIR-IHBT addressed the gathering, highlighting the potential of value-added crops like lavender for economic development. The event also saw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between CSIR-IIIM and Vishvaksenah Herbs and Aromatics Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. launched this program to promote ANB themed product development. The event was attended by over 50 local farmers and focused on practical applications of agro-biotechnology, empowering rural communities with tools for sustainable development.
