Ahmedabad plane crash- Blackbox found on hostel roof
The bodies of 265 people have been recovered so far in the Ahmedabad plane crash. Of these, 241 were passengers and crew members aboard the deceased aircraft. 5 deceased are from the medical hostel where the plane crashed.
More than 50 people were present in the BJP Medical College Hostel on which the aircraft fell. 4 MBBS student and a doctor’s wife died, while more than 45 students were evacuated from the hostel. Gujarat IMA President Dr. Mehul Shah gave this information.
At the same time, the Aviation Ministry said that the black box of the plane was found on the roof of the building. The investigation into the accident involves 4 agencies including the NIA.
There will be a funeral in Rajkot as soon as the body of former CM Rupani is identified. His son will return from America tomorrow.
Earlier on Friday morning, PM Modi reached Ahmedabad. He first visited the spot. He then went to the civil hospital, where he met the victims for about 10 minutes.
Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner Flight AI-171 flew from Ahmedabad to London at 1:38 pm on Thursday afternoon. It had a total of 230 passengers, including 169 Indians, 53 British, 7 Portuguese and one Canadian citizen. Two minutes later the flight crashed.
