Ahmedabad plane crash- initial investigation report comes after 26 days

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) submitted a primary investigation report to the central government on Tuesday, 26 days after the Ahmedabad aircraft accident. According to the news agency ANI, the primary report has been prepared on the basis of evidence and technical analysis found in the initial investigation.

Earlier on June 28, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol had said that the plane crash is being investigated with all aspects, in which the possibility of a conspiracy (sabotaz) is also being investigated. At the same time, a detailed investigation report may come in 3 months.

On June 12, a flight AI from Ahmedabad to London collided with a medical hostel building shortly after the 171 takeoff. It killed 270 people, including 241 passengers and crew members. Only one passenger is left alive in this accident.

Detailed report is likely to come in three months

The Union Minister had said that the cause of the accident is not yet clear that the engine was caused by failure, fuel supply problem or any technical disturbance. The black box is in India, it will not be sent abroad. The CVR and FDR present in it are being investigated. Reports are expected to come in a detailed 3 months.

He said that on the orders of DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation), all 33 Dreamliner aircraft of Air India have been examined and everything has been found safe. This accident was an exception, now people can travel without fear. Aaib is investigating it with every angle. CCTV footage is being viewed and many agencies are engaged in investigation together.

The United Nations will be involved in the investigation of plane crash, India’s permission to ICAO Observer

The United Nations will be involved in the investigation into the Dreamliner Plane accident of Air India. The Government of India has given permission to an expert from the United Nations Aviation ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) to join as an observer. ICAO sought permission to attend the investigation. India has decided to include the United Nations in the intention of investigating with transparency.
