AIMIM Chief Owaisi, raging over Waqf law, said- ‘The owner of Gol Dumbaj has now become ASI’
AIMIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi.
Quranul: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supremo Asaduddin Owaisi fiercely targeted the Central Government and NDA allies over the Waqf Act and the strictness being done during the Kavad Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a public meeting on Monday in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Owaisi described the Waqf law as a weapon of ‘snatching’ mosques, dargahs and cemeteries and also launched a sharp attack on NDA’s associate leaders, especially TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan.
‘Leave TDP without fear’
Questioning the intention of the Central Government regarding the Waqf law, Owaisi said, ‘Let me tell you to convince you that the Waqf law has been made that as an example, here is the Dargah of Gol Gumbad in Kurnool, since this law has been made, the Waqf Board is not its owner, ASI has become its owner. This law is designed to snatch mosques, dargahs and cemeteries. When you and my identity are from the mosque, we may be in different party, but when it comes to Sharia, the mosque comes, I appeal to you that you will leave the TDP fearlessly and give the message that you will never compromise on the Constitution, Sharia and Masjid. ‘
Questions raised about strictness on Kanwar Yatra
Owaisi also lashed out at the strictness being done by the administration and some organizations before the Kavad Yatra in Uttar Pradesh. Giving an example of Muzaffarnagar, he said, ‘The journey in Muzaffarnagar has started. There the Sangh Parivar went to a shop and asked the shopkeeper’s name. The shopkeeper said what the name means, then asked for his Aadhaar card. There was no Aadhaar card. Asked him why this is the name of your shop, so he said that it is my will. So he was abused. Later it came to know that the person who was angry, abusing him is Gopal. Now see this kind of hatred is being spread in this country. He described this incident as a symbol of increasing communal hatred in the country and condemned such activities in strong terms.
