Air India adopts DigiYatra at 20 major airports of the country
New Delhi, 10 November (HS). Tata Group-led Air India Airlines has adopted DigiYatra’s facial recognition system at 20 major airports in the country. The airline has asked passengers to enjoy air travel with DigiYatra.
Air India said in a statement issued on ‘X’ post on Sunday that the future of air travel awaits with DigiYatra. This service is available at Delhi, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Kolkata, Pune, Vijayawada, Cochin, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Coimbatore, Goa Dabolim, Indore, Patna and Visakhapatnam airports in India. It is noteworthy that Digi Yatra is an initiative of the Central Government. It is a digital platform, through which air travelers can easily navigate through the airport. Facial recognition and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are used in this. With the help of Digi Yatra, passengers do not need to stand in long queues at the airport and show documents.
