Air India will cut 15% in widebody plane international services
Air India News: Air India has been continuously facing bad times since the plane crash in Ahmedabad on 12 June. Taking a major decision on Wednesday, the Tata Group airline company has decided to reduce international services on its widebody aircraft by 15%. These steps have been taken to maintain the stability of operations, ensure better efficiency and reduce the discomfort of passengers. Air India said that this deduction will be implemented between June 20 and will continue till the mid -July. During this time, reserve aircraft will be available with Air India to handle any unexpected disruption.
Why Air India decided to reduce service
In addition to the Ahmedabad accident, Air India has taken this decision due to increasing political tension in the Middle East, night curfew as well as technical and meteorological challenges in many countries of Europe and East Asia. Let us tell you that the Air India flight AI171 was a victim of the accident on Thursday, June 12 to London. A total of 297 people were killed in this heartbreaking accident. Out of a total of 242 people aboard the aircraft, 241 people lost their lives in the accident.
Sad once again for those killed in the accident
Air India canceled a total of 83 flights till 17 June after the accident on 12 June, out of which 66 flights were scheduled to operate from Boeing 787. The flight that was a victim of the accident was also being operated with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The Tata Group company has still canceled 3 international flights. Air India has once again expressed deep condolences for passengers and crew members killed in an accident on June 12, along with informing them to cut airlines. The company said that investigation of the accident is going on. The airline has resolved to strengthen safety standards with DGCA, AAIB and other related investigating agencies and officials.
