Airlines companies’ focus on more publicity than security, 64% passengers accepted trouble

Ahmedabad Questions are being raised about the security of airlines after Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft accident. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is also taking a tough stand on the security of the airlines. Meanwhile, a survey conducted on the emphasis towards safety of aviation companies has revealed shocking facts. In the online survey conducted by LocalSarkles, about 76 percent of the aircraft passengers said that many aviation companies in India are spending more on publicity than ensuring passenger safety. At the same time, 64 percent of the passengers said to have difficulty experienced at least once in the last three years. This includes to face complex situations while flying and descending. The survey received 44,000 reactions from citizens of 322 districts.

241 passengers died in Ahmedabad

This survey is very important in view of recently revealed air and ground level incidents. These incidents include Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft accident run by the Tata Group. The aircraft crashed only a few seconds after flying from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick last month. In this accident, 241 out of 242 passengers aboard the aircraft were killed and the other 19 people on the spot lost their lives. The aircraft accident investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) is investigating the accident and has already submitted its preliminary report. Apart from this, the passengers in Air India’s Kochi-Mumbai flight narrowly escaped, when the aircraft went out of the runway while landing on the ground. On Monday, Air India’s flight from Delhi to Kolkata was canceled at the last minute due to “technical fault”, while IndiGo flight from Goa was launched in an emergency due to a “landing gear” problem. Meanwhile, the ‘frame’ of the outer window of a flight of SpiceJet flying between Goa-Pune broke into the air itself, causing panic among the passengers aboard the Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

Airlines companies will have to think

In the survey, people traveling air travel were asked if you believe that India -based airlines are spending more on promotion than security? Out of 26,696 people answering this question, 43 percent said that yes, all aviation companies do so, 33 percent of the respondents said that yes, yes, some of them do so and 11 percent said that no one does so. At the same time, 13 percent of the respondents did not give any clear answer. It said, in short, 76 percent of Indian passengers involved in the survey believe that many aviation companies are spending more on promotion than security. Out of the total respondents in the survey, 63 percent are men and 37 percent are females.
