Airtel gave a big shock to millions of users, closed the cheapest plan with daily data

Airtel has once again given a big blow to millions of users. The country’s second largest telecom company has removed its 1GB daily data plan from the website. In this prepaid plan of Airtel, users were getting 24 days validity. Also, users were getting benefits like unlimited calling, Daily 1GB data, 100 free SMS across India. Airtel users will now get the cheapest plan in 30 days validity for Rs 319.

Preparation to increase ARPU

According to the report of Money Control, Airtel listed this plan on its website with a product closing tonight tag on 20 August. That is, today i.e. from 21 August 2025, users will not see this plan on the website. The company had already expressed its intention to increase its average revenue per user i.e. ARPU. Now the company is shutting down the plan with low data for this. According to the report, the telecom operator believes that now the scope to increase the tariff is very low, due to which some plans are being removed from the website.

Talking about Airtel’s daily data plan, users will now have to recharge Rs 319 for 1 month validity. In this plan, the company offers 30 days validity. Talking about the benefits found in this, users will get the benefit of unlimited calling on any number across India. Apart from this, users will get the benefit of 1.5GB data and 100 free SMS in it.

Apart from Airtel, Vodafone-Idea has also indicated to increase its ARPU many times. However, the company has also said to revise its plan on revising tariffs by other telecom companies. The first such market reports have been revealed, in which it is said that by the end of this year, telecom companies can make the plan expensive again.
