Rahane has suggested a change in the Indian playing XI for the fourth Test match against England. After losing by 22 runs in the third Test match played at Lord’s, India is lagging behind 1-2 in the series and will have to win the fourth match in any case to stay in the series.

After India’s crushing defeat, Rahane has suggested to include an additional bowler at the playing XI for the fourth Test match to be held at Old Trafford, Manchester. He also told that India had a chance to win the third Test match but lost the opportunity due to not being able to score a big score in the first innings.

Rahane said on his YouTube channel, “We all know that it is a little difficult to bat on the fourth and fifth day. It is not easy to score runs. Yes, England bowled very well. But I felt that India lost a chance to score such a big score in the first innings. And at the same time, I feel that while moving forward, India should include an additional bowler as you can win a test match or test series.”

Apart from this, Rahane also praised Ben Stokes for run out to Rishabh Pant a few minutes before lunch on the third day. He said, “It is very easy for the fielder to sit comfortably. When you feel that only two or three balls are left before lunch, you can easily sit comfortably. But his attitude towards the ball, his intensity and run out was the thing that I felt that I felt that England got into the game.”
