Mumbai/Lucknow. In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, an agreement has been reached between the main parties of Mahavikas Aghadi, Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar) to contest on 85-85 seats, but the opposition alliance has not yet taken a decision on 33 seats. However, Congress has fielded its candidates on 87 seats. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has said that he will contest the elections alone if he does not get a seat from MVA. Akhilesh said that there is no place for sacrifice in politics.

Actually, Akhilesh Yadav wants some seats from MVA in Maharashtra under the India alliance, but no comment has been made on this yet by the opposition alliance. Meanwhile, the President of Samajwadi Party in Delhi bluntly said on Sunday, “The State (Maharashtra) President of Samajwadi Party will take the decision.

First we will try to stay in alliance. But if they (MVA) will not keep us in the alliance, we will contest on those seats where we will get votes or where our organization is working. We will contest elections on those seats which will not harm the alliance. There is no place for sacrifice in politics.” If sources are to be believed, Samajwadi Party President in Maharashtra Abu Azmi has clearly said that we will contest the elections. The party is demanding 12 seats from MVA in Maharashtra.

Every eligible person should be provided the benefits of government’s welfare schemes: Chief Minister

Let us tell you that Samajwadi Party had asked for five seats from Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra – Dhule City, Bhiwandi East, Mankhurd, Bhiwandi West and Malegaon Central seat. But, Shiv Sena (UBT) declared Anil Kote from Dhule City, Congress declared Ejaz Baig from Malegaon Central and Dayanand Motiram from Bhiwandi West.

In such a situation, out of the seats on which Akhilesh Yadav’s party had staked claim, MVA has not fielded candidates only on Bhiwandi East and Mankhurd. In such a situation, there are full chances of Samajwadi Party being out of the alliance.
