Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is always in the news for his fitness and disciplined lifestyle. He is not only devoted to workouts, but also follows a very strict rules regarding his food and routine. Recently, during the launch of a book ‘Your Body Allreji Noj’, Akshay shared some important things related to his lifestyle, the most interesting thing, he has to fast every Monday. He revealed that he does not eat anything around 36 hours. He also talked about how he completes this process. Also shared many more trips and tricks for fitness.

Akshay fasts for about 36 hours

Akshay told that he has his last meal every week on Sunday night and after that he does not eat anything till Tuesday morning. That is, he fasts for about 36 hours. During this time, he only takes water or sometimes coconut water. He believes that this type of fasting gives the body a chance to stop, relax and repair itself. He said, ‘When we continue to eat food, the stomach never gets relief. But when you leave him empty for a few hours, he helps himself. ‘ There are more reasons related to fitness, but there are more reasons behind their fast.

Why do Akshay eat food early?

Akshay believes that nowadays most of the diseases have stomach. Eating at the wrong time, eating late at night and eating frequently causes damage to our digestive process. Therefore, he not only takes dinner till 6:30 pm, but also gives a chance to reset his body by fasting every Monday. He explained it in a very easy language and said, ‘Think when you sleep, then all the parts of the body are resting, but not a stomach. If you eat food late at night, the stomach is working while sleeping. This not only causes sleep, but also digestion.

He also made it clear that this fast is not a religious or traditional custom, but a health practice. Their purpose is to give time to the body, so that it can detox itself. They believe that doing so not only increases energy, but also brings mental clarity. Talking about workouts, Akshay rely on natural activities rather than traditional gym. He keeps himself fit through sports like rock climbing, swimming, running. He jokingly said that his gym is made for monkeys, where only hanging and playing, not weight lifting. This lifestyle of Akshay shows that it is possible to beat the age with discipline and right food.
