Alert for heavy rain continues

The Meteorological Department has said that monsoon is active in many parts of India and there is a possibility of heavy rains in almost the entire country. According to the department, during the next 6 to 7 days, excessive rainfall is expected at different places in northwest, central and eastern Madhya Pradesh, western Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan. Especially, heavy rainfall is expected at different places in eastern and central India. During July 7, there will be heavy rains at different places in some states like Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh.

Learn where the clouds will rain

  • There will be heavy rains in Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha during July 2 to 5.
  • Alert of very heavy rainfall has been issued in Madhya Pradesh during 5 to 7 July.
  • Jharkhand and Odisha will receive heavy rains during July two and 3.
  • North-west India and eastern Rajasthan are expected to receive extreme heavy rainfall at different places.
  • There is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan during July 2 to 7.
  • There will be rain in Uttar Pradesh from July 5, 5 to 7 July in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.
  • There is a possibility of very heavy rainfall in western Rajasthan during July 2 to 4 and Himachal Pradesh during July 2 to 5.
  • Heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand on July 2, Punjab on July 6 and 7, Haryana on July 2, Uttar Pradesh on July 2 and East Rajasthan during July 4.
  • During the next 6 days, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Konkan and Goa, Ghat areas of Central Maharashtra, Gujarat region and heavy rains in Saurashtra and Kutch.
  • Most places in Northeast India are expected to have light/moderate rainfall as well as thunderstorms.
  • There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Telangana on July 2 in Telangana in coastal Andhra Pradesh, two to 5 in Kerala and Mahe, in coastal and northern internal Karnataka during July 2 to 7, in South Interior Karnataka during July 3 to 7.
