You must have had many types of gourd, but have you ever tasted gourd barfi. Gourd barfi looks very tasty to eat. It is specially made to eat fasting fasting. In Janmashtami fast, people eat gourd barfi. Gourd green barfi is also very much liked by children. Gourd barfi is available at some shops in the market, but the taste of homemade gourd barfi is completely different.

Gourd barfi can be made in two ways, first you make a barfi by making a khoya of milk in the house. The second way is to cook the gourd in milk and thicken and accumulate barfi. We are telling you the recipe for making mawa gourd barfi. Which looks more tasty.

Gourd barfi recipe

First step- First take a large fresh and low -seed gourd. Peel gourd and wash it and grate it. If the seeds are bigger and ripened in the gourd, then remove the seeds.

Second step- To make 1 kg of gourd barfi, you will need half a kilo mawa. You can prepare by buying from the market or making half a kilo mawa with 2 liters of full cream milk in the house.

Third step- Now add 1 spoon desi ghee in a pan and put grated gourd and keep it covered. Keep stirring the gourd 1-2 times in the middle and cook until it melts. If the gourd is melted, add only half a kilo of sugar to it and cook the water till it dries lightly.

Fourth step- Now put mawa in gourd and sugar mixtures and cook it on the medium high flame while stirring it. When all the gourd water dries up and feels that it will now be set to freeze. So apply a plate by applying light ghee.

Fifth step- Now add gourd mawa and sugar mix in this plate and set it like barfi. Now keep it in the fan air to cool down and then cut it like barfi pieces. You can apply silver work on top.

Sixth step- Prepared gourd barfi which looks very tasty to eat and it is also healthy. You can eat it on a festival or fast. During the Janmashtami fast, gourd barfi is made by making a lot of barfi. It can also be offered in offerings.
