Allahabad Inspector injured while catching truck of cattle smugglers
Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Cattle smugglers tried to ram a truck on the police team of Naini Kotwali. One inspector was injured. The police chased and caught two smugglers. 39 buffaloes were loaded in the truck.
In the early morning, outpost in-charge Kanshiram Ramanand Vishwakarma received information from informers that animals were being taken in a truck by uncle and nephew to Kaushambi for slaughter. On this, Inspector Ramanand along with his companions tried to stop the truck by placing barricades in front of the leprosy. The driver started speeding away the truck after hitting the inspector standing in front on the road. The inspector was injured. Police stopped the truck some distance ahead. Rohi who was sitting in it, Wasim Ahmed son of Mobeen Ahmed, resident of Kokhraj Kaushambi, Gulab Babu son of Hussain resident of Atala police station Khuldabad were arrested. During interrogation of the police, the smugglers told that they were taking all the buffaloes from behind the dhaba of former head Zaheer near Bhandra for slaughtering in Kaushambi. According to the police, many others including former head Zaheer are wanted in the case. A team has been deployed to arrest him.
Drunkards created ruckus on the road
Near Shankaracharya intersection in Alopibagh area, drunkards created a ruckus at around 9.30 pm. A group of more than a dozen drunkards started fighting among themselves in the middle of the road. Due to this, there was a traffic jam on the road for about half an hour. Even a four-wheeler belonging to the state government got stuck. After this, the policemen posted at the picket became active and cleared the jam by removing the drunkards.
Public interest litigation against Yeti Narasimhanand
A PIL has been filed in the Allahabad High Court against Yati Narasimhanand, the chief priest of Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad. He is accused of making objectionable comments about Prophet Mohammad and the Quran. A petition has been filed on behalf of Mumbai’s Mohammad Yusuf and Zakir Hussain Mustafa Shaikh demanding to stop them from making controversial comments. In the petition, a demand was also made to remove Yati Narasimhanand’s controversial statement on Islam and Prophet Mohammad from the social media platform.
