Telecom company Bharti Airtel has blocked more than 1.88 lakh dangerous links across the country in just 43 days under its mission against growing online fraud and has secured more than 10.6 crore customers online.
The company said in a statement released here today that this state-of-the-art security system is automatically activated for all Airtel mobile and broadband customers under the launch of AI-based fraud detection systems across the country. It scans and filters SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, Email and other browsers.
This technique uses real time Threat intelligence (immediate information of cyber threats) and analyzes more than one billion URLs daily. This system blocks it in just 100 milliseconds before reaching any dangerous site.
More than 35 lakh users have been successfully saved from online fraud in Delhi NCR within 43 days. Delhi-NCR is counted among the most digitally developed states of the country, but along with this online fraud incidents are also increasing rapidly. Frauders are now targeting people through fishing links, fake delivery messages and fake bank alerts.
