Amazon Marketplace Fee: E-commerce website Amazon is now going to charge you on every order. The company has decided to impose marketplace fees on online goods. This charge will be applicable to every order made from the company’s platform. However, this marketplace charge is not new. Instant goods and food delivery platforms, swiggy etc. already charge platform charge on every order.
According to the Money Control report, Amazon will now take a marketplace charge of Rs 5 on every order made by the user. The company says that this charge will help run its online platform. Users will have to pay this charge separately after the price of any product. This charge will be seen separately in the receipT received by users. However, the company will not charge some things. However, this amount is very small, but the pockets of those who have continuously asked for goods on the e-commerce platform can be loose in the day.
They will not be charged marketplace charge
- This charge will not be charged from users on digital services like bill payment, recharge etc. through Amazon Pay.
- Also, the orders on which will already have processing fees or exchange fees will not be charged this marketplace.
- Apart from this, this extra charge will not be levied on payments made for gift cards.
- Amazon will not take charge even if it is called for goods through cash-on-delivery.
According to this report, Amazon will take an additional charge of 5 rupees from standard users as well as Prime Members. Also, it will not return this additional marketplace charge to users by canceling or returning an order. However, this marketplace charge will be refunded to cancel the order before the product ship is ship.
If you ask for any goods online from Amazon, then keep in mind that if the order is to be canceled, then do the product before shipping. Once the product is shipped, the marketplace charge will be charged from the user. Apart from this, they can ask for any product through cash-on delivery.
