The protesters across the country have expressed their dissatisfaction with posters, banners and slogans against the Trump administration and their policies.

Protest in 50 states of America

The protest movement called ‘Good Trouble Lives On’ made its presence in all 50 states of the country. In New York, protesters were seen blocking a crossroads near the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building. During a protest, when the protesters gathered outside an immigration court, they held placards under the ‘Good Tribal Lives on’ National Protest Day against the Trump administration.

Strike also outside the Immigration Building

A video showed that Trump and ICE protesters staged a sit -in at an intersection outside the ICE building at Federal Plaza in Manhattan, New York City and staged a sit -in and blocked the way.

Demonstration at 1600 places

The demonstration against Trump took place at around 1600 places including Atlanta (Georgia), St. Louis (Missouri), Okland (California), and Annapolis (Maryland). In this, the health care of Trump administration, immigration policies and other decisions were against. Its purpose was also to pay tribute to the late Congress member and leader of civil rights John Lewis.

What is the ‘Good Truble’ movement?

The ‘Good Trouble’ movement is named from John Lewis’s famous appeal that he had from American citizens before his death in 2020. He had said, “Get in good trouble, get into necessary trouble and save the soul of America.” Let me tell you that John Lewis ‘Big Six’ was the last living member of the group of civil rights activists, headed by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. Lewis always supported the non -violent movement and the fight for justice, and this movement forwards the legacy of their ideas.

What do the protesters say?

Lisa Gilbert, co-chairman of the public citizen organization, said before the performance, “We are going through one of the most dreadful moments in our country’s history. We are all struggling with increasing totalitarianism and chaos in administration … when the rights, freedom and expectations of our democracy are being challenged.” The purpose of this national movement is to raise voice against the policies and functions of the Trump administration that many citizens consider to be a threat to human rights violations and democratic values.
