In the last two days, about 12 hours long talks took place between the representatives of the two countries. Regarding this, in the statement issued by the White House on Sunday, it has been said that its purpose was to preserve the relationship with full responsibility at the time of tense relations. The statement said Jack Sullivan and Wang Yi had a frank, concrete and constructive conversation.
Sullivan and Wang Yi had earlier met for talks in Vienna in May. Recently, US President Biden also spoke to Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang during the G20 summit in India and regarding this conversation, Biden had said that there was no confrontational talk about stability in this conversation.
