Amrish Puri rejected Hollywood films due to reason
Amrish Puri’s name in Bollywood is remembered as an artist who gave a new identity to the villainy on the strength of his loud voice, brutal expressions and strong acting. Born on 22 June 1932 in Nausheran village of Punjab, Amrish Puri started his career in the Ministry of Labor and showed his acting in Satyadev Dubey’s plays.
Later, Amrish Puri was successful in making his mark as an artist at Prithvi Raj Kapoor’s Prithvi Theater. In the fifties, Amrish Puri turned to Mumbai after passing his BA from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. At that time his elder brother Madanpuri had made his mark as a villain in Hindi film. Amrish Puri did not succeed in his first film screen test in 1954.

Amrish Puri started his film life with the 40th spring of his life. As a villain in 1971, he started her career with the film Reshma and Shera but with this film he could not make his mark among the audience, but after stepping into the famous banner Bombay Talkies, she started getting big banner films.
Amrish Puri made Khalnayaki the basis of his career. These films also include superhit films like Ninth, Manthan, Bhumika, Kalyug and Mandi. During this time, if we talk about the character of Amrish Puri’s choice, then he first played his favorite and never forgotten character Govind Nihalani in the artistic film semi -state in 1983. In this film, he was in front of him, the invincible warrior of art films.

Amrish Puri, meanwhile, played the role of a Sampra in Harmesh Malhotra’s superhit film Nagina in 1986, which people liked very much. Sridevi and her confrontation were worth watching in this film, kept at the center. In 1987, there was an unprecedented change in his career. Encouraged by the success of his previous film Masoom in 1987, Shekhar Kapoor wanted to make another film focused on children which was based on Invisable Man.
Anil Kapoor was selected as a hero in this film, while in view of the demand of the story, there was a demand for an artist who felt very bad on the film screen. For this role, the director chose Amrish Puri, which proved to be correct after the success of the film. In this film, the character played by Amrish Puri was Mougimbo and the same name became his identity after this film.
While an artist of Indian origin is unable to find a place to work in foreign films, Amrish Puri played the role of Kali as a villain in Stephen Spielberg’s famous film Indina Jones and the Temple of Doom. He also got international fame for this.
After this film, he received several proposals from Hollywood, which he did not accept as he believed that Indian origin actors are degraded in Hollywood. Amrish Puri, who made his special identity in the hearts of the audience with his strong acting for nearly four decades, said goodbye to this world on 12 January 2005.
