Andaaz 2 Review: 90s boring drama, which looks like punishment today

Sunil Darshan is one of the film directors who are struggling to make cinema with changing times. Now there has been a lot of change in the choice of cinema viewers. The style of making cinema has changed, but Sunil has not changed according to time. That is why his films seem outdate. Years ago, he made a film called Andaz, now he has brought Andaz 2.

Bollywood’s overdramatic romance and classic Love Triangle is the basis of this film, which is now old. It is a matter of regret that Sunil could not make a film worth watching on it. Time has changed, but there is no improvement in their way of making films.

The film’s protagonist Aarav (Ayush Kumar) is the emerging singer, whose music, dreams and love are on track. Aarav falls in love with Alisha (Akisha) at first sight. The chemistry of both of them seems to be freshness with music videos, but the story takes a turn from here.

The entry is of Priyanka (Natasha Fernandez), who is Alisha’s elder sister. Priyanka also falls in love with Aarav. Now begins the classic Bollywood Love Triangle, where emotions, misconceptions and sacrifices go together.

Till interval, the story revolves around love, promises and misunderstandings, but in the second half, the tone of the film suddenly changes. Action, drama and scenes to save each other come, but all of them seem quite old and predictable. Many times it seems that you are watching a long episode of a nineties TV serial.

Everything is very boring. Neither the actor has been able to act, nor the writer has been able to write scripts nor the directors have tied the audience. The audience thinks where it got stuck. In which hour it was decided to watch this film. Headache separated with loss of both time and money.

Ayush Kumar tries to act, but does not give him much scope. He tried hard to leave an impact in romantic and emotional scenes, but scripts and dialogues do not do justice to them.

The aspirations look fresh on the screen and their presence brings a little glow to the scenes. Natasha Fernandez has played Priyanka’s character with soft but little intense touch, although her role is also limited.

Nadeem Shravan Wale Nadeem has composed the music of the film. The songs are reminiscent of the old era. The background coincides with the music story, but the editing is quite loose, causing the film to stop in many places.

Cinematography is average. Some locations are beautiful, but there is no special creativity in camera work.

Sunil Darshan’s direction is the same as he did 20-25 years ago. Old script structure, long emotional dialogues and classic heroine-hero framing have become old for today’s audience. In the era where OTT and realistic content is dominated, looking at Andaz 2 is no less than a punishment.

If you want to watch the film with romance, love triangle and melodrama, then it is better to watch an old film. Many films will be found on OTT and YouTube. If you see an old romantic song, you will get pleasure. And And 2 is not worth today’s era, even if it was released in the 90s, it would have flopped.
