Appointment of new governors in LG and Haryana-Goa in Ladakh
The President has changed the Governor of Haryana, Goa and Ladakh Ladakh. After the resignation of Dr. BD Mishra, a retired brigadier from the LG post of Union Territory Ladakh, he has been appointed Kavinder Gupta as the new Lieutenant Governor.
Kavinder Gupta is a senior BJP leader of Jammu and Kashmir and has worked as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state while being the Chief Minister of Mehbooba Mufti.
Apart from these, Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as Haryana and Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as Governor of Goa.
Ashim Ghosh 19th Governor of Haryana
Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been made the 19th Governor of Haryana. Earlier Bandaru Dattatreya was the Governor. He was handling this responsibility since 7 July 2021. Ashim Ghosh hails from Howrah in West Bengal. He has been the state president of BJP in West Bengal from 1999 to 2002.
Ashim has been a professor of political science at Manindra Chand College, Kolkata. Tapan, who was a minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s cabinet, brought Sikhdar Ashim into politics. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had given the command of the party in view of his skill.
Ashim played an important role in the roots of the Sangh and BJP in West Bengal. Right now, the party was working to carry forward the party policies by staying in the party’s guide board in West Bengal. Secret politician and former Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju has been appointed in place of Goa’s 19th Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai. Pillai was made the Governor of Goa on 15 July.
Gajapati Raju was elected MLA 7 consecutive times from 1978 to 2014. He took over several ministries in the state government. Gajapati has handled the Ministry of Finance, Planning, Legislature and Revenue in Andhra Pradesh.
In 2014, he reached Lok Sabha from Vijayanagaram. Raju became the Minister of Civil Aviation in the Modi government, but he resigned from the post of Minister along with other TDP leaders after Andhra Pradesh did not get “special state status” in 2018.
