In 1975, he completed his acting studies from the National School of Drama (NSD) and entered films. Raj was fond of acting since childhood and he often performed in stage shows. His fate was bright when Raj Babbar got the first break in Bollywood from ‘Sau Din Sas Ke’. As soon as he graduated from NSD, he stepped into the film world. His first film came in 1980 in ‘Sau Din Saas Ke’, in which she was seen with Reena Rai. Raj got recognition from the 1980 film ‘Insaaf Ka Taraju’. It is one of the most memorable films of Raj’s career. Raj Babbar played a negative role in the film. Actor became a leader
Raj Babbar stepped into politics after exploding for many years in films. He has also played the role of leader in his films. In the 14th Lok Sabha elections in 2004, he was elected as a Samajwadi Party MP from Firozabad. He took membership of the Congress after being suspended from the Samajwadi Party in 2006. Raj Babbar, who was a Congress spokesperson, thought of exploding from Ghaziabad in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. But, he did not get the love and support from the public, which he expected.
