The Asia Cup 2025 countdown has started and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has also intensified its preparations. On Monday, August 4, BCB announced 25 initial players for the tournament. All these players will first take part in the fitness camp at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur from August 6.
After this, skill training will start from August 15 and this camp will shift on August 20. Amidst this complete preparation, Bangladesh also has to play a T20i series and that too against the Netherlands. The three -match series can be between August 26 to September 4 in Sylhet. The special thing is that it will be the first bilateral T20 series in the Netherlands in Bangladesh.
As far as the Asia Cup is concerned, Bangladesh’s first match will be against Hong Kong on 11 September. Bangladesh has found teams like Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in the group, causing the competition to be strong from the group stage itself.
