Imran Khan said, ‘When I was Prime Minister, I removed General Asim Munir from the post of Director General of ISI. In this case, he wanted to contact my wife Bushra Bibi through mediators to discuss. But Bushra Bibi clearly refused and said that she has nothing to do with such matters and she will not meet them.
Imran said, ‘The way my wife has been targeted to take personal revenge, there is no comparison. This has never happened even in the dark era of dictatorship in Pakistan. He said, “Bushra Bibi’s unjust 14 months imprisonment and condemnable inhuman behavior in prison is a vengeance of General Asim Munir.”
He said, ‘He (Bushra Bibi) was accused of assisting and abetment, an allegation for which no evidence was ever presented and has been arrested in false cases one after the other. She is a citizen, a housewife who has no political relations. I have not been allowed to meet him for the last four weeks.
