Mangaluru (Karnataka): On Wednesday, four persons associated with three YouTube channels, who were interviewing a person, were attacked by a mob on Wednesday amid investigating the case related to the alleged case of collective graves near a place called Dharmasthal in Dakshin Kannada district. The incident took place near the house of a college student, who was raped in the town of Dharmasthal in 2012 and was found dead.
‘Bigg Boss Kannada’ was taking interviews of silver
Ajay Anchaan, Abhishek, Vijay and a cameraman were interviewing the silver of “Bigg Boss Kannada”, when about 50 to 60 people attacked him near the Pangal Cross. He also broke other machines including cameras. Police said the four were taken to Benka Hospital in Ujire. The condition of one of them is said to be critical. Police has started investigation and has not been reported to have arrests so far
Two groups threw stones at each other
After the incident on the Pangal Cross, two groups abused each other and started stone pelting. The police tried to calm the crowd, but when there were indications of increasing the crowd, they were lathi-charged to disperse. Police has increased security in sensitive areas. Superintendent of Police of Dakshin Kannada district Arun K urged people to maintain peace and said that action would be taken after the identity of the suspects was confirmed.
