The continuous rains in Uttarakhand for 2 days have wreaked havoc. Even today, the Meteorological Department has issued alert of heavy rains at many places in Almora, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Rudra Prayag, Tehri Garhwal, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi. There is also a possibility of lightning and storms. In view of the warning of heavy rains, all the government, non-government schools and Anganwadi centers have been declared a holiday in many districts today.
Orange alert of heavy rains in these districts
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of heavy to heavy rains in some areas of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar districts. While Yellow alert of heavy rains was issued in Dehradun, Nainital, Champawat and parts of Pauri district. Apart from this, a yellow alert of fast rains has been issued in other districts.
The monsoon havoc in Uttarakhand has become a problem for the devotees. The Kedarnath Yatra has been located due to continuous torrential rains and landslides.
Rain and landslide on Uttarkashi Gangotri Highway
The state has been raining intermittently in most areas for the last 2 days. Due to this, life from the mountain to the ground has been badly affected. There has been a huge damage due to landslides and overflows in the mountains, while in the plains districts, there have been disaster-like conditions due to the rise of river drains. Due to continuous heavy rains in Uttarkashi, there is landslide in place. The Uttarkashi Gangotri highway has road blocks in many places due to rain and landslide.
Debris fell on railway track in Haridwar after rain
After heavy rains in Uttarakhand, mountains are cracking everywhere. After heavy rains, debris fell on the railway track in Haridwar. The Haridwar-Dehradun rail route has been closed due to debris falling. The incident occurred near Bhimgowda Tunnel where a big boulder fell from the mountain which has damaged the railway line. The electric line has also been broken due to falling boulder. At present, the restoration work is going on on the spot. The railway track has been completely interrupted between Haridwar to Motichur, due to which the arrival of about 10 trains coming from Dehradun and from Dehradun has been affected.

Bike rider narrowly escaped in Landslide, the whole incident was imprisoned in CCTV
At the same time, another incident of falling part of the mountain in Haridwar came to light. Here the part of the mountain near Bhimgowda Kali temple broke and fell on the road. At the time when stone-leaf fell on the road, three people were passing by riding on a bike from here. He narrowly escaped the debris. This entire incident was captured in CCTV installed in a shop nearby. The video shows that the bike riders fell down as the debris fell. As soon as the bike fell down, all three got up and stones, debris fell on their side. If there was a delay of a moment, there could have been untoward.
