Coach told Brijesh’s mistake
According to a Times of India report, Kabaddi player coach Praveen Kumar said, “Brijesh considered his hand pain as a normal injury to kabaddi. The bite was a minor injury and did not get this serier. So he did not get the vaccine.”
Gradually increased problems

Symptoms of rabies were visible
According to the Times of India report, Brijesh’s brother Sandeep Kumar said that gradually the symptoms of rabies started appearing, as suddenly he was afraid of water. The player’s brother also told that he was not given treatment in any city government hospital including Delhi.
Sandeep said, “Suddenly he began to get scared of water and see symptoms of rabies, but we were forbidden to treat us in government hospitals in Khurja, Aligarh and even Delhi. Only doctors in Noida confirmed that he was probably infected with rabies.”
