Sydney. AUS vs PAK: Australia has announced a new captain for the last ODI and T20 series against Pakistan. Josh Inglis will captain Australia for the first time in the absence of regular captains Mitch Marsh and Pat Cummins. This in-form wicketkeeper batsman has been given preference over experienced Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. English will also captain the team in the last match of the three-match ODI series against Pakistan, as many Australian players are giving priority to preparations for the upcoming Test series with India.

Inglis played an important role in Australia’s ODI World Cup win in India last year. After the recent retirement of experienced wicketkeeper Matthew Wade, the 29-year-old Englishman is the first choice wicketkeeper in the white ball format. Now AUS vs PAK A 3-match ODI series is being played. The first match of the series was played on 4 November in which host Australia won over Pakistan by 2 wickets. In this match, captain Pat Cummins did wonders with both ball and bat.

AUS vs PAK After winning the first match, Australia will now face the visiting Pakistan team in the second ODI where it will look to capture the series. The second ODI match will be played in Adelaide on 8 November. Although Pat Cummins will be the captain in the second ODI, Josh English will be seen captaining the team in the third match. Cummins will not be a part of the team in the third ODI. After the ODI series, Josh Inglis will also lead the team in the T20 series against Pakistan. Pat Cummins will not play in this series also.

Actually, apart from Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Marnus Labuschagne are also against Pakistan. AUS vs PAK Will not play in the third match of the three-match ODI series. This decision has been taken so that all these players can concentrate on the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
