Alain Musk’s company Tesla’s auto drive car has come to light. The court has ordered a compensation of $ 243 million (about Rs 2,100 crore) to the company in this case. The matter went on for about 4 years. The company argued in the court that the driver was busy running the phone.
In 2019, the accident occurred in Tesla’s autopylot system in Largo, Florida. The Miami Court of Florida ordered the company to compensate for 4 years, considering the company responsible. According to media reports, the Tesla model S sedan hit a SUV due to the system malfunction.
22 -year -old Nibel Bennavides died in the accident and his boyfriend Dillon Angulo was seriously injured. In the court, the company argued that the driver was busy running the phone. The court did not consider it. The court said that the system was bad and only the driver was not responsible for the accident.
Tesla made a lot of efforts to make the driver responsible for the accident in front of the jury in Miami’s Federal Court, but the victims’ lawyers were adamant on the malfunction of the autopylot system. In the end, Tesla obeyed the malfunction in the car, but dismissed the allegations of hiding the evidence. Edited by: Sudhir Sharma
