Ayushman Vaya Vandan card will be made for 3.66 lakh elderly people in Nalanda preparation district.
Bihar News Desk: Three lakh 66 thousand 143 elderly people will be connected to this scheme in the district. His Ayushman Vaya Vandan card will be made. All people above 70 years of age will get the benefit of this scheme.
Cardholders will be able to get free treatment and operations up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year. Now the number of people benefiting from Ayushman Yojana in the district has increased to 26 lakh 27 thousand 310. Whereas before this only 22 lakh 61 thousand 167 people of the district were benefiting from it. With this, 80 percent population of Nalanda will be connected to Ayushman Yojana. Earlier only 68 percent beneficiaries were included in this category.
Who can get the card made: Sabnam, District Coordinator of Ayushman Bharat, said that any person above 70 years of age can get the card made by visiting his nearest Vasudha Centre. For this, the beneficiary will have to carry his Aadhar card and mobile number.
Facility of treatment in any government or private hospital: District Coordinator Sabnam said that if a person already has an Ayushman card and his age is more than 70 years, then that person should not get any other treatment under that scheme. Free treatment and operation facilities up to Rs 5 lakh will be available per year. They will get free treatment in any private or government hospitals affiliated with this scheme. They will be able to get their treatment done in any hospital of the country as per their convenience.
Private health insurance holders are also eligible: Many elderly people have their own private health insurance. However, elderly people will also get the benefit of this scheme. Elderly people can go to the nearest empaneled hospital or Vasudha center to get the card made. Along with this, camps will also be organized at major ghats on the occasion of the festival. They can also come there and get their Vaya Vandan Card made. They can also make the card themselves through Ayushman app.
No conditions or restrictions: To avail the benefits of Vandan Yojana, your age should be 70 years. There is no other condition or restriction of any kind in this scheme. Nor has any limit been set regarding income. You belong to some family. What is his income? How much movable and immovable property do you have? There are no details or other criteria. Earlier there was an income limit, but under the new rules the government has made it applicable to all those who are 70 years of age or older.
District Coordinator Sabnam said that Vasudha Center operators will be deployed at the ghats. A plan has been made for this. For this, there is a plan to set up camps at more than 200 ghats. Even after the camp, elders can go to Vasudha Center and get Vaya Vandan card made.
