Babu Rao, the iconic role of Phira Pheri, became a noose of Paresh Rawal’s neck, he said- feels suffocated

But Paresh Rawal is very upset with his Babu Rao’s character. He described it as a ‘noose of his neck’. The directors like Paresh R Balki and Vishal Bhardwaj also took demand for such roles, so that the image of Babu Rao’s role could be broken.

Talking with Lalantop, Paresh Rawal said, Hera Pheri’s role is my neck. I went to Vishal Bhardwaj in 2007 after the release of Hera Pheri in 2006. I told him that I want to get rid of the image made from this film. I told him to give me a role in the same getup but one completely different.

He said, I am an actor. I do not want to get caught in such a marsh. But Vishal told me that I do not remake the characters. Then I in 2022 with the same request R. Went to Balki.
