Pakistan’s legendary batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan did not get a place in the Asia Cup 2025 team this time. This decision surprised the fans. Now former Pakistani fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed has advised both the players to take a big step, while Mohammad Hafeez attacked both of them.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shocked everyone on Sunday (August 17) for the Asia Cup 2025. The biggest surprise was that Pakistan’s top run-songs Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were dropped from the squad. Fans and experts have created panic since both players were out.

Former Pakistani fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed, reacting to the decision, gave shocking advice to Babur and Rizwan. He first tweeted on Twitter and wrote, “If you feel that you are not respected then take retirement from international cricket. We have an example of Virat Kohli. The honor is in your hands.”

On the other hand, former captain Mohammad Hafeez gave strict statement about Babur and Rizwan. Talking on his YouTube channel, he said that now it would be wrong to call both the ‘main player’ of Pakistan cricket. According to Hafeez, Salman Ali Aga, Sym Job and Hasan Nawaz, who won the real match in the last one and a half years, have been trusting them now.

Hafeez clearly said that Babur and Rizwan will have to show the first performance to confirm their place in the team. Only the name and old records cannot make a place in the team. He even said that Nasim Shah and Shaheen Afridi have recently failed to give match-winning performance.

That is, it is clear that the wind of change in Pakistan cricket is now moving, and the sword is hanging on the big names. It will be very interesting to see whether Babur and Rizwan will be able to prove themselves in the coming times.
