Baby AB joined this special list even after scoring only 6 runs on ODI debut, only other South African batsmen
Dewald Brevis Record: The 22 -year -old ‘Baby AB’ i.e. Dewald Brevis did something in his ODI debut against Australia which was done by only one South African batsman till now. Even though he was dismissed by scoring only 6 runs, but by hitting a six on the ball, he registered his name in the record book.
South African young batsman Dewald Bravis started his ODI against Australia on Tuesday (August 19) in Cairns. 22-year-old Brevis Number-6 came down to batting and hit the Travis Head directly on the first ball of his innings. However, on the next ball, he tried to put a big shot again and was caught out.

In this way, he scored just 6 runs in his ODI debut, but that six included him in a special list. Brevis has now become the second South African batsman who hit a six on the first ball of ODI career. Before that only Johan Law (2008) did this feat. Dewald Brevis has now become only the 6th batsman to do this feat in world cricket.

Talking about the match, South Africa batted first and scored 296 runs thanks to the brilliant innings of Aidan Markram, Bavuma and Breetzke. In response, Australia collapsed at 198 despite captain Captain Mitchell Marsh’s 88 runs. Keshav Maharaj, the biggest reason behind this defeat, took 5 wickets for 33 runs while bowling deadly and gave his team a brilliant win of 98 runs.
