Barabanki. A case has been registered in the police station against sports officer Rajesh Kumar Sonkar and football coach Shraddha Sonkar in connection with the case of bad touch with a female football player at the KD Singh Babu Stadium in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.
According to police sources, a case has been registered against sports officer Rajesh Kumar Sonkar and football coach Shraddha Sonkar on charges of bad touch and harassment of female football players at KD Singh Babu Stadium under Kotwali Nagar police station. The SDM and CO investigated the complaint against both of them and submitted a report, after which action was taken.
Rajesh, posted in Sitapur, has additional charge of Barabanki district while the football coach has been transferred to another district. Women players allege that sports official Rajesh Kumar Sonkar behaves indecent and immoral with them. Using his influence in the competitions and selection trials held here, Rajesh imposed duty and indulged in bad touch. Shraddha Sonkar is his relative. She used to put pressure on the players to meet Rajesh at his residence.
He alleges that when he complained to the Sports Director and DM, training in the stadium was banned. Even after the transfer, Rajesh Sonkar was given additional charge here.
By doing their duty in the selection trials of all the football related competitions held in Barabanki, along with touching the bed with the girl players, they influence them physically and mentally. Due to public shame, no one complains against girls. The police is investigating the matter
