Bangalore stampede- HC ban on the arrest of KSCA officers

In the Bengaluru stampede case, the Karnataka High Court on Friday gave relief to the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) officers from the arrest till 16 June. KSCA had demanded the cancellation of the FIR registered against them.

The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered the arrest of officials of KSCA, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and event management company DNA Entertainment Private Limited. The Bengaluru Police has arrested 4 officers of RCB and event management company. All have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

At the same time, on the demand for continuous resignation from the opposition, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar said that our government registered a case. The opposition was demanding a judicial inquiry. We also ordered him. Suspended officers. What else can the government do.

On June 4, 11 people, including a 13 -year -old girl, died in a stampede in Bengaluru. 33 were injured. The incident took place outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore during the RCB’s Victory Parade, where 3 to 4 lakh cricket fans came to see the players.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his Political Secretary K.K. Govindraja dismissed. Hemant Nimbalkar, head of the information department, has been transferred.
Bangalore’s Adgp Intelligence Hemant M Nimbalkar was transferred. IPS Ravi S. Will replace them.
25 -year -old Rolan Gomes injured in the stampede lodged an FIR against RCB, KSCA and DNA agency at Kabban Park Police Station.
Social activist Snehamayi Krishna lodged a complaint against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar.
The Bengaluru police arrested RCB’s senior marketing head Nikhil Sosale and 3 officials of the event management company- Kiran, Sumanth and Sunil Matthew.
RCB’s marketing head Nikhil was arrested from Bangalore Airport while going to Dubai. He has challenged his arrest in the High Court. His petition will be heard on Monday.
IPS officer Seemant Kumar took over as Bengaluru City Police Commissioner.
