After this, fundamentalist groups gained strength in the country and incidents of violence and discrimination against religious minorities increased in the country.

Resignation being taken under threat of death

According to media reports, Assistant Professor Rontu Das of the History Department of Chittagong University was allegedly forced to resign. Apart from this, he was also given death threats. Citing the discrimination faced by him, Assistant Professor Rontu Das tendered his resignation. After which it has become very viral on social media.

Hindu police personnel were also dismissed

In Bangladesh, this discrimination has been seen in educational institutions as well as Hindu cadets involved in the police system. Recently, 252 police sub-inspectors who had completed their training at the Sharda Police Academy have been dismissed on charges of indiscipline and irregularities. Of the 252 sub-inspectors, 91 were Hindu personnel. Let us tell you that all of them were appointed during the tenure of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Along with this, the passout parade to be held on October 20 for more than 60 ASP rank officers at Sharda Police Academy was also cancelled. Due to which there was a delay in the appointment of these officers to government roles.

Hindu community claims, an atmosphere of hostility is being created

During this time, the Hindu community is claiming that an atmosphere of hostility is being created against Hindus in Bangladesh. Due to which Hindus are losing their jobs and other opportunities. In protest, fundamentalist groups have alleged that Sheikh Hasina’s previous government had appointed people close to her party.
