Bangladesh Squad Asia Cup 2025: Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a 16 -member team for the Asia Cup 2025. The team will be commanded by Litton Das, while the biggest surprise wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan returned. Earlier, Bangladesh team will play three T20 matches against the Netherlands.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its 16 -member team for the Asia Cup 2025 on Friday, August 22. The team will captain the captaincy of Litton Das and this time ‘Tigers’ will come on the field with the intention of winning their first Asia Cup trophy.
The selectors have placed some new names in the team, but the biggest discussion was about the return of wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan. Nurul Hasan last played in the 2022 T20 World Cup for Bangladesh. Apart from this, Saif Hasan is also returning to the team after two years, Mehdi Hasan Miraj and Soumya Sarkar have not been kept in the main squad and kept in the standby.
Before the Asia Cup, Bangladesh team will play three T20 matches against the Netherlands. These matches will be played at the Silhat International Cricket Stadium on 30 August, 1 September and 3 September. After this, the team’s focus will be completely on the Asia Cup, where Bangladesh is to face Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong in Group B.
