Bangladesh’s T20 captain, UAE and team announce for T20 series against T20 series
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced its 16-member team for the T20 series against Pakistan and UAE. Along with the announcement of this team, there has been a big change under the leadership of the team. Litton Das has been named the new captain in place of Najmul Hussain Shanto and Mehdi Hasan Miraj has been named vice -captain in the smallest format. At the same time, Shantio will remain the captain of Bangladesh in the long format.
The team consists of promising players in both batting and bowling departments. In the batting department, Bangladesh team includes Tanjid Tamim, Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hussain Shanto, Tauheed Hriday and others. But his team’s biggest strength is the bowling lineup. Bangladesh’s bowling attack includes Hasan Mahmood, Nahid Rana, Shorbul Islam, Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Mustafizur Rahman and others.
The series against UAE and Pakistan can prove to be a good platform for Bangladesh for the preparation of T20 World Cup 2026. This is the reason that Bangladesh Cricket Board has made a big announcement and appointed Litton Das as T20 Cup as T20 captain by 2026. Star player has experience leading Bangladesh in T20 on the first four occasions. Bangladesh’s record in T20 under Das’s leadership has been good, as he defeated West Indies 3–0 in his house in 2024.
Litton Das was not part of the Bangladesh team for the Champions Trophy due to his poor form earlier this year. In such a situation, he is going to return to the national team as captain in T20. Das’s charge as captain will begin with a two -match series against UAE. Bangladesh will later face Pakistan in the five -match series in Pakistan.
