According to RBI rules, all banks across the country have a holiday on every second and fourth Saturdays of the month, apart from each Sunday. In such a situation, all government and private banks of the entire country will remain closed today. Due to the closure of the bank, facilities like cash deposits, check clearance, demand draft or passbook update cannot be available, because all these works can be done by going to the branches when the bank opens. But, despite the bank’s holiday, all online banking, net banking, mobile banking facilities continue and customers can handle all their work related to banking, which are available.

Online banking facilities will be available

When the bank is closed, customers can transfer money online through NEFT, RTGS, IMPS. You can see the balance available in the account, open FD accounts online. Apart from this, credit card bill payment, loan EMI can also be deposited online. Along with this, you can easily transact money through UPI.

Several holidays of banks remain in August

Now a few days have been saved to end the month of August. However, banks are yet to come to many holidays in this month. Apart from Saturday, August 23, on Sunday, August 24, all banks of the country will be holiday. Subsequently, on August 25, all government and private banks will be holiday in Assam. In Assam, on August 25, Shrimant Shankardev’s Tirobabhav date will be celebrated, so all banks will remain closed on that day. Finally, on August 31, all the banks across the country will be closed due to Sunday.
