Prior to the Asia Cup 2025, Dream 11 has pulled back its hand as Team India’s Jersey Sponsor and now the BCCI is waiting for the new sponsor. The step is taken in the Indian Parliament after the ‘Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Bill’ is passed, which bans the real-mani gaming platforms like Dream 11.

Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Dream 11 have not yet made any official statement on the matter, according to media reports, it has been revealed that the fantasy sports platform is not ready to continue the deal. The report further states that Dream 11’s Asia Cup in 2025 is impossible to become the main sponsor of Team India.

Earlier on Friday, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia had said that the board would follow the laws of the country. Saikia said, “If it is not allowed, we will not do anything. The BCCI will follow every policy of the country created by the Central Government.”

The report further stated that the BCCI is going to invite renewed dialects for Team India’s sponsorship rights. If the new sponsor is not selected before the Asia Cup starting on 9 September, the team will enter the tournament without any main sponsors. The interesting thing is that the Jersey of Dream 11 has already been printed, but now they will not be used.

Dream 11 partnered in 2023 with BCCI under a deal of Rs 358 crore. The Asia Cup will be held in UAE from 9 to 28 September, whose matches will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and the final will be played on 28th.
