Ben Stokes-Gautam Gambhir clashed over injury replacement! The British captain said- ‘Absolutely nonsense’
Gautam gambhir and ben stokes on injury replacement: Rishabh Pant’s injury in the Manchester Test has given rise to a new debate. The debate is on whether the substitute should be allowed in cricket like football? There was a sharp clash between the Indian and English camp on this issue, in which Team India coach Gautam Gambhir and England captain Ben Stokes came face to face.
Let us tell you that on the first day of the fourth Test, Chris Woakes had a serious injury to the toe of Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant. The investigation confirmed the fracture and the doctors advised him to rest six weeks. But despite this, Pant came down to bat the next day so that the team could recover from this crisis.
Gambhir did the sport of the subsidy
After this incident of Rishabh Pant, experts and cricket fans questioned whether a player should be replaced if Gautam is seriously injured? Gautam Gambhir supported the idea, saying, “If a player’s injury is clearly visible and the umpire and the match referee consider it serious, then the team should get permission to take off the substitute player.”
However, England captain Ben Stokes looked completely disagree with this idea. He said clearly, “This is a sheer nonsense. If this rule comes, the teams will take advantage of it wrongly. There is an injury in every player’s body, and something will come out in MRI. In such a situation, putting the fresh player on the field will end the fairness of the game.”
Stokes also said that the Convention Substitute is understood as it is directly associated with the safety of the player, but should not have a rule of change based on normal injuries.
Pant became out of Ind vs Eng Oval Test
Soon after the Manchester Test draw, the BCCI issued an official statement stating that Rishabh Pant was out of the last match of the five -match Test series. Now Narayan Jagadishan has been included in his place. The BCCI said on Pant’s injury, “The medical team will monitor his progress and wish him to get well soon.”
